I mentioned last week that I was seeing the doctor today, and indeed I did. Seems that he thinks my burn out is perhaps more than just burn out as well, and so we’re trying something for it and we’ll see how it goes.
The funny thing is the doctor said that since I was coming in for depression he wasn’t going to get on me about my weight. I looked at him and told him I’d been losing… he looked at the chart and noticed I lost 11lbs since my last visit and 42lbs since that visit in March before I started Weight Watchers. By that math, I HAVE lost over 10% even though the Weight Watcher scales aren’t agreeing with that. Makes me feel a little better about the overall situation.

Well, good for you! That is awesome! You truly are an inspiration.
Eh, not so much. I suspect it's a disagreement between their scales and the WW scales… in fact, I would bet the WW scales have me gaining weight tomorrow. I'm just me, really.
You, just chugging along reminds us that as long as we keep doing what we need to do, we'll move to the next milestone. Just face the scale at WW, and know that you can get to what the doc's office says.
Scales can be off. So it's always good to know that someone (i.e. doctor) is keeping a record to track against as well
10% is fabulous. If you end up on meds, be aware that some can cause weight gain so avoid bloating by drinking lots of water and be sure to talk to the doc about it as well.
As for weight lost…lately, I've been going by the feel of my clothes. I know that works for you as well
Just wish I wasn't dropping sizes so quickly. Feel like I'm spending my life at second hand clothing shops lately. Did splurge and buy brand new pants and a few sweaters for fall though.
Wish you weren't dropping sizes so quickly? Wish I had your problem. heh.
Women's clothing sizes are really screwy. When we're fat, we can wear the same size for quite a while (or at least I could) without needing new clothes. When you get into the smaller sizes, they're all cut differently. You're an 8 in one style of pants, a 6 in another and a 4 in yet another. And that's not even getting in to fabric. *sigh*
Mostly it's just economics tho. I WANT to buy a fancy schmantzy new outfit (i.e. NOT from the second hand store) for when hubs comes home on his tour break but the cheapness in me doesn't want to pay lots for an outfit I may only get to wear once… Makes me wish I'd kept some of the really cool outfits I had at university. That tuxedo top was awesomesauce.
You've gotta go in there an face the scale, you'll be okay because you know the TRUTH about the doctor's records. I prefer to use the doctor's "highest ever" weight for me and then the Wii Fit's current weight between doctor visits. That officially puts me at 45 lost so far and you started first. You can still "catch down" to me though! Next time I go visit you I intend to not need a seatbelt extender on the plane and the sooner the better cuz I miss you!
yay for doing what you need to do….and big yay for little accomplishments
